Learn Auto cad for biggners

AutoCAD is a commercial, computer aided design (CAD) and drafting software application. Developed and marketed by Autodesk. AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 as a desktop app running. Before AutoCAD was introduced, most commercial CAD programs ran on main frame computers or mini computers, with each CAD operator (user) working at a separate graphics terminal.

AutoCAD is used in industry, by architects, project managers, engineers, graphic designers, city planners and other professionals. It was supported by 750 training centers worldwide in 1994.

main commands to draw the auto cad

CTRL + N is to open a new window in auto cad.

In the left hand side to shows the home icon.Its including lots of tool bars.Each tool bar have some commands. above figure have indicated draw tool bar. Draw tool bar have some commands was related to makes or draws supporting commands.

LINE - Short cut is L enter

then select one point (0,0) after put any dimension value enter.

POLY LINE short cut is PL enter

poly line is similar to the line command, but, poly line have to the continuity will get. After selecting drawing part have in one.

CIRCLE - short cut is C enter

line and circle is most commonly using commands in autocad drafting.

Two types we can make the circle. using diameter

c enter and select the place ( coordinates or mouse click any where ) then D ( diameter ) enter put the value.

ARC - short cut is A enter.

A enter then start point,end point and center point.

same like we know what dimensions to draw the arc.

RECTANGLE - short form is REC ENTER.

Select the place enter D ( dimensions ) put the dimensions of Length and width dimensions after enter. 

one other option is to draw the rectangle is to we know the area and length .

rec enter 

select the place

enter area ( eg. 1000)

enter length ( 100 )

automatically calculate and draw the rectangle as per the area of 1000.

one other option is to draw the rectangle is required in degree.

enter R (rotation )

enter required degree.

then put d enter after entering the dimensions of length and width.
